Re: DOSBox 0.65 ... ftw
In theory you can use real mode mouse drivers with Windows 9x; the same instructions (copying tablet.drv and modifying Win9x's system.ini to point to it) should work. I have never tried that,...

Re: DOSBox 0.65 ... ftw
No, I mean at "maemo-extras" http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras , don't you use it ?
Specifically at extras-devel.
Alternatively, if you are building your own version, I am attaching the patch, but I...

Re: DOSBox 0.65 ... ftw
It's still on my website -- https://depot.javispedro.com/nit/dosbox/w3x-mouse/tablet.drv . But it's only for Win 3.x and it only works in the patched dosbox on maemo repos, not upstream.
For DOS...

Re: Qt "stuck" at v5.6 in SFOS
I am not sure I agree. The concept exists for sure, but I am not sure if this means the same. Could you quote the relevant parts?
Also, if we go towards the "transfer of possession" route (as...

Re: Qt "stuck" at v5.6 in SFOS
LGPL_3_ , you mean :)
Qt was already only available through LGPL3 (and GPL2) at that version. But they can't use GPL2 because their UI is closed source, or at least I can't find it there. So it is...

They are using Qt 5.9......
But not over this issue, right?
Which makes little sense, because I am legally allowed to just ditch their box and use mine, and they can't really use...

Re: Qt "stuck" at v5.6 in SFOS
Why would you give the name away, then? :P
Even if you were to do an interpretation of the license like the above, all you'd have to do as the "corporate customer" is to claim that you are not...

Re: Qt "stuck" at v5.6 in SFOS
The main problem here is that people tend to accompany definitions with examples precisely in order to clarify these definitions, and at this point we have at least two different sources (the GPLv3...

Re: Qt "stuck" at v5.6 in SFOS
That interpretation is still wrong. The "transfer of the right of possession" does not happen just because the museum lends you a tablet. That would imply that you can assign possession to someone...

Why are "my opinions" or "my properties" relevant to this discussion?...

And for the record, after asking around, the real reason Jolla is stuck with ancient Qt is because the QtWayland compositor module "graduated" as a non-essential Qt addon and thus changed license...

Yes, aka 25% of the total number of words in the license. Totally not blanket-quoting.
No, not "as discussed". You claimed that if a museum lends you a tablet with GPLv3 software it is...

No, it doesn't say that anywhere. The comment just says that they use dash as the main shell, exactly like Debian. But they still ship bash, and in fact depend on it for running scripts which specify...

You are making the insane interpretation. Not even Jolla!
I am just asking for a source of your bizarre reading and I am yet to see it! Even the "Dutch museum" story would do.

You are quoting yourself.... not the license.
To avoid a couple of extra roundtrips...
I really doubt that interpretation of the license. And I have never heard of anyone else actually...
