The first patch is rather crude, just doubles the DTO. I can try it, I guess the value can become higher than 14, maybe it has an influence then ...

ok, some progress, as I did have some time :)
I made 2 patches on top of the latest Nemo kernel. Now I'm waiting for my OBS account, then I can branch off the kernel and compile my own version....
