Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

Yeah, I was surprised to find an IR port on my Note 10.1, it has much better range than the N900 too but unfortunately the software for it sucks compared to Pierogi. It's called "Peel", it has some...

Retsaw also compiled it a little below on that page...

Edit: found out, Windows 8 requires a wifi connection on initial startup. Idiotic, but it's been set up now.

Also, are there any android IDEs? not IDEs to develop/compile apps for android but a...

Re: How many of you still use N900 as main phone?

Re: The Epic Android Thread

Wow, that looks pretty cool. Especially for notifications it can save a lot of battery. You could also just put a nice design on the back though you may have to rfresh it every now and then....

Unfortunately the forum censor has killed the link and all references to the IRC client you recommended.

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

I may be mistaken but I think some product keys (Including cars and garage doors) use IR for security, especially cars pre 1990. I think the SmartKey was the successor to IR keys for cars post 1990...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

Re: Firefox 4 Mobile: Release Today

Thanks wikiwide, I would guess that the person who asked that in 2011 most likely gave up or solved the issue already but better late than never. I did not know there was an unofficial build of...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

Thanks for the great advice Copernicus. My RPi does indeed run a linux variant (Raspbian wheezy). There is already a LIRC_GPIO driver so that is also taken care of. I was hoping to avoid writing a...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

I have the hardware part hopefully, a Raspberry Pi (Sony UK version) with more GPIO options. I was just wondering if it were just a case of using the --listen, --connect option on the appropriate...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

I don't know how to overcome the first problem other than to try and create an angle between the three but for the second you can use old, or buy, reversal film and have it developed blank...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

What I mean by that is I can never get any other universal remote or...

Re: Look what I drew on my phone

You are right the conductivity should not make much of a difference to its size as long as it's conductive enough. I don't think that tip is merely a metallic cross though. Judging by its opacity and...
