Re: Jolla hardware internals

Those devices are quite distant "cousins", if you like, e.g. F3 is based on MTK chipset. With little research you may do much better ;)

Qisda is actually parent company of BenQ, not vice versa....

Re: Jolla hardware internals

Truly has made some "sub components" of the HW, like the flex where emcc and SIM card holders are monted, and "lower part" of the phone where speaker and microphone are.

Re: Jolla hardware internals

Well, what exactly you are looking for ?

As you saw earlier in thread, konsta was able to get a lot of relevant information out from SW side alone.

Re: Jolla hardware internals

Yes, so far they should be from same h/w revison.

There can and will be minor differences in future, but nothing that is "lower" spec than originally.

Re: Jolla hardware internals

You are right, and you were bit too fast to reply.

This is CE device after all, I was looking something else, but already from the label that is under battery you can clearly see that it is CE...

Re: Jolla hardware internals

First of all, these devices have never been sold by Jolla.

Differencies are mainly on details, and in the overall quality.

Quite contrary, if you ask from me. The passion that you have put to it makes me believe that we still may have a chance..

Re: Handset subforum @ forum.meego.com

Not exactly:

Harmattan is the whole Maemo6 sw project for next Nokia device, including almost everything for it.

Harmattan UI framework (former DUI) is nowadays called "MeeGo touch framework"....

Re: N900 community support for the future MeeGo based release from Nokia

Sorry but NO.

Perhaps I have caused the confusion, so I try to clear it a bit:

This thread is about "MeeGo-Harmattan" on N900 (I confirmed that from Quim).

So it does NOT have much to do...

Re: Handset subforum @ forum.meego.com

I agree with almost everything you said.
But, IMHO, the best way to reduce confusion would be to call Harmattan (on any hw) plainly "Harmattan", at least in maemo.org.

("MeeGo-Harmattan" is OK...

Re: Brief status of "MeeGo to N900" project

Some of the drivers use/load closed firmware blobs to chips, and we are currently figuring out what is best way to re-distribute those for MeeGo purposes.

For now those are provided from Nokia...

Re: N900 community support for the future MeeGo based release from Nokia

Hello,

Just in order to be consistent: This kind of work that Quim proposes will be needed to create "full", open and nicely usable system on N900 on top of MeeGo.

MeeGo hardware adaptation for N900

Hello Maemos & MeeGos,

It seems that the true nature of MeeGo has not really been understood by many, or if it is, people still like to create wrong kind of fuss, and use the name MeeGo in wrong...
