I am not sure about the financials in Argentina, but it might very well be that housing, food and basics are a tenth or less of what it is in EU/US, whereas imported tech like the Jolla or a PC costs...

I think that regardless of the sound, the feel is the most important factor. The resistance needs to be low so that you can type quickly, but at the same time it should have a distinct 'clicky'...
