I received my Jolla C last week, but only managed to tinker with it yesterday.
So far it looks like a small improvement over the Jolla "1" in most respects.

I do not know why eson is so sure, but I got contacted by TNT which wanted some detail to clear the shipping, and the guy over the phone said that customs/vat were paid by the sender. So I presume...

I suppose they framed it as a developer program. As such, you "get the device for free" as a perk of joining the program. Maybe they can get away with that.

The bulk of the tablets was sold via Indiegogo. I think there were around 10000 tablet sold over there. I do not think the pre-sales were for more than an additional 1000 devices.
