Re: Maemo-Leste pre-alpha announcement
Greetings!
It has been a while (at least 2 years) since I used my n900. Recently I bought a new (used, obviously) device, and I thought I'd like to try Leste on it.

Re: Show your best photos taken with N900
Yes and no. If the photo really sucks technically, then even a Lightroom wizard can't make it a masterpiece. And another point: I would consider as a DSLR in this matter; a device to shoot pictures...

Re: Phone Camera Competition May 2020: Superpowers
As a child, I always thought that viper bite would be roughly the same as bee sting. Nowadays I work as an nurse on ICU, and I have seen some patients due to viper bites. While it really is really...

Re: Replacement battery problems
It is still quite easy to find working batteries for N900. They may still be found even from your nearest mobile accessory shop. I found some (pretty crappy quality, but working at least) from...

Re: Phone Camera Competition April 2020: Uplifting
I had to google what is a homophone (not a gay phone obviously). But yes, homophones seem to be quite common particularly among native English speaking people, who seem to be less aware of how the...

Re: Are you Ready? F(x)tec Pro 1 HW Keyboard Phone
I was never able to answer calls while using AquaPac on N900, because the screen stayed black. It wasn't optimal to take the device out from AquaPac with wet hands while kayaking on windy lake just...

Re: Are you Ready? F(x)tec Pro 1 HW Keyboard Phone
Something unexpected happened to me today. The Pro1 haddied in my pocket. It had at least 50% of battery remaining, and everything had performed normally before. But then I just found it powered off,...

Re: Are you Ready? F(x)tec Pro 1 HW Keyboard Phone
Doesn't sound familiar. I have been using the Snapdragon camera app quite a lot, and always with physical camera button. I can easily feel the difference between "focus" and "shutter". Of course the...

Re: Camera phone competition January 2020: HIGH
My vote goes to #12, juiceme.
PS. Looks like I messed something with my picture, or actually posted the wrong one. This one is way too purple and also out of focus... Being too high to do it...

Re: Camera phone competition January 2020: HIGH
No, we were not high when this happened... So the link to the context would be that we had high expectations for the evening. We were going to ski through the forest to the cabin and see the sunset...

Re: Are you Ready? F(x)tec Pro 1 HW Keyboard Phone
Chen/Fxtec did highlight that the battery of Pro1 is replaceable, but not so easily that you'd be able to swap batteries during the day, as you can do with N900. Haven't yet heard of available spare...

Re: Maemo/N900 meeting in Finland?
As far as I know, there is only like five people who are:
a) actively lurking on TMO
b) still actively using N900
Maybe 3 of those people lives in Finland. So even though there is probably much...

Re: Microb and TLS 1.2
Yes, but being too fundamental you end up having to build your OS by yourself. Think about that: Perfect freedom to run just the stuff you want! Us others, not capable to build our own systems, have...

You do realize that this "third party" is how FOSS works, basically? Community = Bunch of people volunteering to develop and maintain things. N900 is old. Very old. Nokia has ended updating it a long...
