PS: my entry was actually some student's creation.
A school had them scattered over a portion of beach as an art project.

Phone Camera Competition June 2022: "Leaves"
Looking outside the window, it's definitely summer but also cold, windy and rainy. Conflicting.
Consider the different meanings the word "leaves" (leaf, leave...) can have!

I seem to have problems with this month's topic... nothing I see is appropriately cheesy, in the sense of being kitchy, AND worth a picture.
Loosely fitting, logical progression from the last...

Command Line Image Viewer for SFOS?
Is it possible?
Something I can point to a directory, or a list of images, and make it show them?
I'd say "something like Feh", but feh is for X11 only.
Things I tried and dismissed:

Re: How to make a launcher for a shell script
shc works.
But the compiled script suffers exactly the same ailments as the script itself, i.e. the launcher (lipstick I guess?) doesn't know that the script started, or that it finished, and just...

Re: How to make a launcher for a shell script
Unfortunately it doesn't make a difference.
Thanks for the example, it suffers the same limitations as discussed here but the dbus notification method is cool to have nonetheless.

Re: How to make a launcher for a shell script
Running it through a terminal works better with ToeTerm, but I'm still not satisfied with the result.
Frankly I'd still prefer for the launcher to not create a cover tile at all, just show the...

Re: How to make a launcher for a shell script
Something weird happens: It opens the terminal full size, and executes the script. However, the helpful message I coded into the script is not displayed.
Then it minimizes.
