There you can get the HQ-Pics. it's 3.3Gig big.
Did you try the deckbuilder and if "yes": have you seen the pictures normally?

Yep, doesn't work here either. PC, Netbook, N800 and N900 all of them negative with Pidgin. Windows Live Messenger works...

I've got to admit that it doesn't bother me wether the N900 gets an official port of MeeGo or not. First I'm quite sure that someone will port it over and second I'm quite happy with Maemo as it is....

hhhmmm nothing over here in Germany... but I checked the versionstring on my N800 which reads: 5.2008.43-7
Edit: might it be that you fetched an older firmwareimage?

Looks like that you've got the App-Manager open when you tried to use apt-get. If the files dealing with packages are in use by a program they become locked for any other program, it's a security...

"rootshell" isn't a command to type in the Terminal. "entering rootshell" means "become root" read: sudo gainroot if you have the package installed for root-access :-)
and for wget: don't know if...

hhhmmm might be just me but I'm using Pidgin quite often on my N800, fullscreen with stylus-kbd. Works well for me. OK, you will not get as many lines of conversation at once on the scree but it is...

For my own part I would be satisfied with just an official: "There will be device in the N8x0 class in 2009 (delivery in Europe/Germany)". That's all I'd like to see, no specs, details or other fancy...

I think you've got me wrong.. I was talking about what my current usecases are with my trusty N800. Now try to imagine doing this on a smaller screen. Just right now i don't even use Skype on it...
