Re: 2.2.1.18 Nurmonjoki

Re: Sailfish Android version update
Note that in Finland we don't have the Swedish BankID. That is a totally different system that requires Android/iOS/Mac/Windows and doesn't even work on Linux PCs due to lack of software. In Finland...

Re: 2.1.3.x / Kymijoki (Early Access)
I haven't done this in Sailfish, but I'm doing it a lot in GNU Linux. Short instructions that should apply mostly in Jolla, too:
Setup the rpm build environment (see guides).
Grab the source...

Re: The new QWERTY device project
Imagine that Android phones currently have 1 - 3 million lines of code in the kernel that is not released upstream. They have their own custom kernels! This situation is not reliable and the...

Re: The new QWERTY device project
That would only be possible with the i.MX6 or i.MX8 that Purism has chosen for its future phone. And that requires separate modem. Native Linux on ARM outside of the embedded space is hard mostly...

Re: Purism Librem Phone
Take a look at this speach by Greg Kroah-Hartmann, THE kernel maintainer. https://youtu.be/RKadXpQLmPU?t=19m20s
All big Android device manufacturers are painting themselves into a corner. They are...

Re: 2.1.1/Jämsänjoki EA
2.1.1 was never officially released. If you have early access or if you update from command line, you can update to 2.1.1 (unless it was completely withdrawn?) and now also to 2.1.2.3. My tablet is...
