I am trying to find the Sweet Spot between File Size and Image Quality for videos on my N900 so I have done a bit of testing with different Handbrake options.
I am using Handbrake 0.9.4 on Windows...

I just converted a PAL DVD (orig source 720 x 576, aspect ratio 1.78) using Handbrake 0.9.4 (Win7 x64).
I set it to Width: 640.
With Keep Aspect Ratio ticked, Handbrake set the height to 352.

I successfully converted episodes of IT Crowd using Handbrake 0.9.4.
I mucked around with a view different settings, but got best results by starting with the iPhone & iPod Touch settings and then...

Improving swiping to switch desktops
One thing that annoys me about the N900/Maemo5 is that if I am swiping left or right to switch to the next desktop, if I happen to lift my finger off too soon (ie not swiped far enough left or right)...

Those Amazon answers look like a standard Amazon response to a delivery date query for a pre-order.
I think you will find the date given is always TWO MONTHS after the date the pre-order was...
