sorry guys, I have not made any changes to this or smsfaker in two weeks as my hdd died and i got a replacement two days ago and it a dud so sending it back tomorrow hopefully i can get coding again...

i just tried with the setting you showed but it worked for me
try
python /opt/Fakesms/main.py
and let me know what it says after you press ok.
ignore the bits about '' being deprecated

you can do this with shortcut maker. when i get home i'll post a load of usfull command to use with it including sudo gainroot.
no other way around make icon then go and make the shortcuts...

done... in repo's in 20 - 30 mins
use shortcut maker to make a command shortcut containing:
/usr/bin/dbus-send --print-reply --system --dest=com.nokia.mce /com/nokia/mce/request...

Sorry i'm not sure I understand what your asking, you can use any icon in your icon folder and also add text under it, or if you dont pick an icon just have text.
Please can you explain to me more...

use the tab that says icon, then you can put whatever text you want under the icon.

Ive made a extremely simple ui for a script found in vert sms's thread. now in repos under smsfaker but dont download version 0.1.1.1 yet as its got a bug that i will fix in the next hour.
