No need to worry about heating as @pichlo described.
And if it becomes so hot that it might damage the battery without isolation, it will also harm it with the isolation.

I don't think this is easier as there are electronics hidden behind the top (temperature sensor). So I would say this is the "best" solution to get the contacts to the matching site.

stress-ng --cpu 4 --timeout 60

Voltage drops not more than with original battery. (4082 mV to 3906mV)
