Check your boot configuration file once. If possible can you post a screenshot of u-boot displaying the error?

Just cloned the image that I have provided to you to my sdcard. But I am not able to recreate the shutdown problem you are facing.
I have written the disk image to the sdcard without any partitions...

I have not faced the shutdown problem with my device, are you facing this problem since the first boot or after few reboots?

And could you please check syslog (/var/log/syslog). Clear the log...

tar file is working fine, I am not able to recreate the issue you are facing. I replaced tar with disk image file, now file permissions will be intact and it will be much safer than tar.

I have modified the fist post, please download the compressed image file and write it to your sdcard. This will erase all your existing partitions on the sdcard. If everythng works fine you can...

Kernel 4.5 should support most of our device hardware, we need to find a way to use them.

I have not yet tested telephony or audio, mostly the telephony will be supported by the kernel. Don't have enough time to test them :(

Yes you can use that documentation to port it to our N900. BTW currently I am busy with my work. I will try to do it in my free time.

You need to install u-boot for kernel power, it is different from normal u-boot. U-boot (kernel power) installer should be there in extras-devel repository.

Try these commands before chroot,
(Replace <chrootdir> with your kali memory card rootfs mount point)

mount -t proc none <chrootdir>/proc
mount -t sysfs none <chrootdir>/sys
mount -o bind /dev...

But there is no info about it on elinux website. And when I tried to run a dialer it just displays modem not detected.
Am I missing something or, do we need to...

File permissions got messed when I moved them from my internal HHD to external. I'll re-upload the image (Old images removed). Sorry for that :p.

You should not dd to the partition, dd only to the device.
ex: dd if=xxxxxx.img of=/dev/sdx bs=512k

you should dd to /dev/sdx not /dev/sdx1.

After you dd, check partitions using gparted...

I tried to add kali repositories to debian on n900, but when I run apt-get update I have got segmentation fault errors. The device is very sensitive to the changes, not stable at all. Then I felt it...
