Re: Community request - what are your boot options (instructions provided)

It's a live CD so you don't have to install anything or use anything except for the purpose of rescuing your phone :-). And Debian just fits in nicely here.

But if you want to use it on whatever...

Re: How to setup QTCreator for Harmattan

I had Platform SDK installed I thought that was it. The instructions mentioned I needed to download QtC and the page redirected to digia so I downloaded from there. Will try the one bundled with...

Re: How to build a harmattan pre-init runnable component?

Hi.

I've notice the device just doesn't seem to be responsive - especially when on the actual boot screen. I've added polling much as in your original script and it now works perfectly (well maybe...

Re: How to build a harmattan pre-init runnable component?

So here it is - new ultimate touch utility :D (attached .tar, md5: 69da8c70b1d7da6aaacb849081042a55).

It works perfectly if run when MeeGo is fully loaded. In pre-init the device seems a bit less...

Re: How to build a harmattan pre-init runnable component?

No problem. Since then I brick my phone about once a day :-). BTW Debian with Gnome works quite good with N9 rescue image (it automatically mount rootfs and unmounts everything when you eject...

Re: Community request - what are your boot options (instructions provided)

So I recently had an occasion to try this out and it seems N9 doesn't work with flasher's boot parameter.

Fortunately Coderus gave me a clue which lead me to making a Rescue CD for N9 (and N950)....

Re: How to build a harmattan pre-init runnable component?

So anyway why did you remove -n parameter and strtoul when writting to ml->c?...

Re: How to build a harmattan pre-init runnable component?

Thanks. I've tried to dig around for sound initialization (alsa/pulse), but eventually gave up. There seem to be to much to it.

I poked vibration a bit but didn't had too much luck. I did found...

Re: How to build a harmattan pre-init runnable component?

So I made some tests and I found out that I would probably need to initialize PulseAudio somehow to play sounds. Or at least when using `/usr/bin/aplay` I get this error:

ALSA lib...

Re: How to build a harmattan pre-init runnable component?

So did I understood this right - you've managed to "play" some predefined vibration on init? If so I would be interested in source or preferably even a working binary :-). I'd like to change my...

Re: [#MCCXII] ρcam raw/jpg camera application for N9 **and N900** with manual controls

Nice app but the OVI price is a killer ;-). BTW. Do to the name used one cannot find the app neither by searching for pcam nor by searching for rawcam (and as you mentioned ρ/ro is not even available...

Re: Opera 12 for N9 /950 !

Hard coded user agents might have been wrong, but with the ability to choose from hard coded user agents, also using custom user agent (in opera:config) was taken away. And this is also one of the...

Re: OPERA HACK: Set as default browser + Open multiple windows!!!

BTW. There is also a hack to hide unwanted links.

First you open:
/home/user/.config/meegotouchhome-nokia/launcherbuttons.data

Then you search for the link you want to hide e.g.:...

Re: OPERA HACK: Set as default browser + Open multiple windows!!!

It would probably work but It actually is a bad idea to overwrite files like that. Especially those in /usr/share/applications

There is a better and update insensitive way.
Step 1. Go to...

Tabs now close with a single click (but I actually like old behavior).
Speed dial - not only you can rearrange (long touch and drag&drop) but it also...

Re: JollaMobile : Jolla continues Nokia's excellent work on #MeeGo based smartphones

There is a way around this and there is a prototype even which I've tried - you can have invisible keyboard (with larg "buttons"). That you can write without masking the screen. It's called...
