I believe that the issue regarding Skype not doing video is related to processing power in the N8xx.
Gizmo can do the video with voice, and Gtalk between N8xx's can do video with voice too.....so...

I haven't measured battery draw under different conditions. I'll try to quantify what bluetooth draws, and the LCD backlight but beyond that I don't think my numbers will be trustworthy.
