developing for maemo used to be a two step process: develop for the x86 target, that compiles and runs fast. When you are happy, compile for armel in scrachbox.

I built and uploaded a new navit version, but did not yet test it myself. Lots of translation updates should be in there and a few bug fixed.

If the openstreetmap coverage is good enough for you in your target area, try navit. Works on n900/android. I do not know for n9 and iphone for sure.

I think it is pretty save to update. The issues I saw for streetsearch were caused by an old map I still had enabled. After disabling it they have been gone.

Most people might have seen it already, I updated navit on bokomoko.de. From the upstream changelog it seems that street search and house number search saw a lot of changes. It did not work very well...

I always use latest svn to build. I must have missed, that the navit team has increased the version number. So no worry, it is just the version string in the package which is missleading :-)
