Thanks, that worked! I am embarrassed that I assumed a straight unlink wouldn't work and didn't bother to try perl... since I am the author of three books on Perl :-)

I installed gears about six months ago on my N810 and it worked fine for Remember The Milk.

A few days ago Google Calendar came out with beta offline support, but I can't get it to work. GC now...
