Hi,

I've added a little code to interrogate the number of cores/processors and set the thread=xx flag. It's posted as version 2.06. Let me know if this does the trick for you.

I have seen issues with two-pass encoding and particularly motion estimation (especially in Linux). That's why I added a checkbox to disable motion estimation. I usually do a bunch of movies...

I've added Audio transcoding in the 2.03. If you encode at 44.1 Stereo at 64kbps the N810/Mplayer can handle 560x336 almost exactly. Hopefully with speedups to come this will be easy.
