Re: I'm so just DONE
In theory, it's possible. In practice, while Google didn't quite go in with malicious intentions to make it impossible, they didn't exactly bother to do the little things that would have made it...

Re: N900 and N9 for sale
OK; assuming the sale works out, francoisg and I can work something out separately or something. :)

Re: N900 and N9 for sale
Is the N900 still available? Mine is showing signs of sudden onset dementia. I'm in Central Ohio.
And if francoisg really wants that game grip pad, he's welcome to it. I have one already. ;)

Re: How many of you still use N900 as main phone?
Got mine in January 2010. So it's been a while. And y'know, I keep an eye out, watching the market for anything that meets my needs.
But right now what I get by with is a pocket Linux computer...

Re: #JollaLoveDay - 20th May - device announcement
Speaking as one who's surrounded by family members and friends with iPhone 3GSes, calling it "still supported" is an extraordinarily dubious position to take. It's "supported" in the sense that it's...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Alpha release of Open Media Player
Bug:
So far as I can tell, OMP is presently assuming that any .m3u playlist opened via dbus call that contains Ogg Vorbis audio-only files in it (extension .ogg) is a video playlist, not a music...

Re: Why do people say MeeGo is dead?
I'm not sure where you got the impression that I "want to go to Meltemi". I'm perfectly happy with my N900. If anything, I want Maemo to keep on going on, but that almost certainly isn't going to...

I'm not a developer or major community wrangler or anything, but the way the various projects look to me...

Re: [Announce] Opera Mobile 11
Well, it's definitely an Opera product... it just keeps getting better. :D
(yeah, okay, I've been a loyalist since just before the start of Project Magic, so I'm maybe a tad biased... ;) )
Seeing...

Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Simplified version of Mentalist Traceur's post (which I largely agree with):

Challenge accepted. :) Assuming it's possible to contribute $0.02US here...
Council sounds good to me, personally.
I'd stick to improving existing OS packages, and let "useful" stuff...

Re: Thank you...
"Not doing research" is a common presumptive reason for folks to be upset with Maemo devices, so I'm guessing that was the basis for assuming a complaint. As to how that logical leap was reached,...
