The high cpu use started to annoy me so I took a look at it myself. It would seem a lot of the cpu use is caused by the drawing in gtkmap.py __expose_event. This function is called once per second...

The device described by this leak/rumour is no tablet in my book - its a smartphone, and a rather bulky one at that (thickness). And while bringing Maemo (Linux) to a smartphone is a nice development...

You could just plug in an usb hub and connect the individual devices to that. Not as pretty but you'd propably get better results that way as you can pick each one individually to find ones that work...
