Are you getting the latest libsdl_ttf from the devel repo? Also, get the -dev package as well and see what happens.

There's another hidden file in the phone under /home/user/.flipClockPrefs.xml

If another alarm didn't sound, can yo send me the file then?? you can attach it in the garage page :)

Do you have any other plugin for profile? The current version of flip clock ONLY play alarm if the profile is not set as slient. Trust me, i learn it the hardway myself on that. I mean if it works...

Would you be able to send us the file name (with full path) as well the ID3 Tag for that file? We will first try to reproduce it by creating a file with the same name and see what happens.

If the command is not found, then please provide us the result of the following command

dpkg -L flipclock | grep -ir alarmsync

where the symbol before grep is the top right symbol in the...

In that case you should have flipAlarmSync install.
Type the following command in XTERM again and see what you get.
/usr/bin/flipAlarmSync clear clear clear

It will either give you no Alarm or...

Did you answer the question of which version of flipclock you have?
That can be found by typing dpkg -l flipclock in XTERM

I suspect this is related to the encoding of the XML is not in UTF-8.

The software packages are compilable.. but the issue is the UI dependencies are non-existent in N900 :(

type the following command
flipclock > /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/flipclock.txt

that should generate an output file in the Documents folder. either copy and paste that full message to us or...

Can you try to run it in XTerm again :) and exit right after the alarm goes off. Get me the output and we'll figure it out :)

Make sure the profile is on GENERAL.. SLIENT will not work for now. That's a know bug from Maemo5

It seems like I TOTALLY messed up the debian script. the latest deb will still exhibit the same issue...

If it's a N900, it should be at the end of the menu or if you have the mymenu stuff on, it's one of the "Others" application.

I was able to build each components in SDK. Going to try how this works in the N900 sometime this weekend. I guess that's when the real "FUN" of debugging begins...
