Re: [HOWTO] Compiling new kernels on Harmattan device

I can take a look for you. It's been awhile since I have been doing maemo stuff, so I need to try to remember where all my bits are.

OMTP to CTIA headphone conversion via software?

Does anybody know how the headphone jack pins are controlled on the N9? Is it tied directly to hardware or could the pins be arranged by a driver?

I would like to be able to change the pin layout...

Re: [Development - see post #1] Fremantle in a chroot (Run N900 applications on the N9)

Regarding d-bus in the chroot, has anyone tried to launch a separate daemon in the chroot rather than mounting from the parent? I had seen this awhile ago while investigating for my Ubuntu chroot on...

Re: Nokia N9 developer site shut down?

While on this topic, does anybody know when the N9 will no longer be supported by Nokia? I.e. EOL?

Re: How do I make a scrollable gui with QtCreator?

Interesting problem. I haven't done Qt in a while. Do you have any source to test with? Is this Maemo 5?

You may also find hints in the Qalendar source code. The author does a lot of his own...

Re: Nominations for Council election Q2 2014

Apologies for missing this one. The day job required my attention. Normally my schedule is pretty flexible. I'm on the east coast in the US.

I accept the nomination from juiceme. I go by jackburton on the forums but my real name is Brandon Saxe.

I have been using Nokia tablets and phones since the N800.

My most significant...

Re: N9 Standby / Low Power Mode Lock Screen MOD

Is there documentation on programming to the low power mode itself? Would it be possible to implement an e-reader in low power mode?

Re: [Announce] kernel-plus for Harmattan

Has anybody made a video of the process? I flashed kernels with different patches from later kernel versions for the past two weeks probably 30 or more times. I could make a video if somebody thinks...

Re: [Announce] kernel-plus for Harmattan

I managed to get this compat-wireless package from TI to compile after making tweaks to the compat package and doing some manual patching to the stock kernel (with open mode patched, too).

Re: Set ad-hoc from command line?

I've been busy getting my house ready for first baby, so not much new. However, I plan on spending Thanksgiving week on a renewed effort.

Re: Tethering N9 to Nexus 7

battery life is great with bluetooth tethering. I only use my N9 for calls. Hence, the screen is rarely on. My iPod touch is tethered all day. Both last all day with basic usage.

Re: Tethering N9 to Nexus 7

There are no limitations with the bluetooth scripts. I use an iPod Touch and Nexus 7 all day with no reduced functionality compared to wifi (other than speed).

Re: Nokia N9 wifi hotspot

Still doing analysis. I am only attempting to backport one patch at a time and flash and test. I don't want to introduce too many changes at once without testing each one separately.

Re: [Announce] [12.13.01] kernel-plus 2.6.32.59 for Harmattan

This is one of my long term goals as well. After I (hopefully) figure out how to get either the TI compat-wireless stuff to work and/or latest backports for hostAP mode to work, BT4 LE would be next....

Re: [HOWTO] Compiling new kernels on Harmattan device

Which toolchain do you build with?

I saw this in the kernel-plus topic:
The kernel builds properly when using Sabermod's Linaro GCC 4.8 cross-compile toolchain for ARM EABI.

It doesn't boot,...
