Nop, images, music, videos, and everything is in home directory will be still there after firmware reflash.
If you use windows you could avoid all the process to type commands stranges running...

This was my experience and a way to solve this, a heavy way but It works in my case.
Solution implies reflash phone and for someone could be a hard way, be cautious

Yesterday I have your same issue, theme button didn't work.
What happen to me:
16th I updated the phone with the last firmware, making before a backup via backup app, and It become restart...
