I don't know why the Nokia forum site decided to do their helloworld in C++ when every program that comes with the device is written in C.
You're right- it just doesn't ship with certain libraries...

Could you give your gcc compile command string and the output of 'ldd helloworld'?
I have never had to use run-standalone.sh. Don't run your program as root though.

It's because that row of symbols is also used for adding accents to regular letters. Apparently the next firmware update will make this a little...

I ran it in the SDK. It compiles and runs. But it segfaulted when I pressed the "Import" button. I don't have a PSP, so that's all I can really tell you.

Megacrazy, have you tried increasing the memory cache setting to 40 mb and then doing the same test? It seems quite a bit better to me after I did that- I still see the checkered pattern...
