Re: N900- Rearange menu? Change browser homescreen?

I too found it annoying that it opens up to bookmarks (since that window remains open). Just put this into a file called something like web.desktop in /usr/share/applications/hildon and then add a...

http://github.com/PromyLOPh/pianobar/raw/master/src/pianobar.1

Sadfist, if you saved the file to the root...

I have never had to use run-standalone.sh. Don't run your program as root though.

Re: Clarification sought : using the N900 as a BT modem from a Windows laptop ?...

I got this working with XP after a fair bit of fiddling with it. It sounds like you've made it through all the hard parts and just need to set your modem init string. You go into control panel,...

Re: MAEMO 5 QT, trying a simple QT app to display battery percentage

Yeah, kwotski has found just the function you need to use. Go with this method and then you won't need to use a QProcess, so that solves your other problem too.

Re: Keeping things running smoothly

No it's a good question. If a program is properly packaged then there should be no side effects after installing and then removing an application. In my experience this is usually the case,...

Re: Bounty for porting OS2008 Rhapsody to N900

Okay, I'm not sure how familiar you are with the command line. If you need some additional instructions just let me know.

You'll need to put these files on your N900:...

Re: ASCII tilde in browser URL bar

Tap the tilde then press space on the keyboard.

It's because that row of symbols is also used for adding accents to regular letters. Apparently the next firmware update will make this a little...

Re: If you have an n900, please help!

I ran it in the SDK. It compiles and runs. But it segfaulted when I pressed the "Import" button. I don't have a PSP, so that's all I can really tell you.

Re: N900 - Yes, it sucks.

Megacrazy, have you tried increasing the memory cache setting to 40 mb and then doing the same test? It seems quite a bit better to me after I did that- I still see the checkered pattern...

Re: N900 Owners Thread (First impressions, ...)

Yes, but this has quite a few disadvantages: 1) the flash app takes forever to load. 2) it eats up about 80% CPU and starts stuttering as soon as I do anything else with the N900 (and sometimes all...
