/usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini, on the bottom of this file you can add a row (if its not allready there) like this:
blacklist = appname1 appname2
or
whitelist = appname1 appname2
...

In ubuntu or other gnome based desktops you can just go to the places menu, choose connect to server and enter your details under 'windows share'. when you choose to add a bookmark, your n900 will be...

That looks really good! Could you explain which font you are using as the clock/date on the desktop and which Queen Beecon code? Also, what theme are you using?

These are 2 of my desktops, used the following themes, font and wallpaperset:

Marina Theme
Eos remix wallpaper, customized with top and bottom 'bar'.
Ubuntu font

When the menu pops up you have to release the screen and the menu stays. Now you can press the menu entries.
