Re: [Beta] Sygic AURA

@sygicsupport - excellent explanation, I know uisers may be sad, but I also work with commercial software and you've described the situation very well IMO.

Re: Firmware 1.3 on its way????

One issue with dual boot is incoming SMS (less so call logs, or email via IMAP) -- since these are more like POP3 and deleted from the source once received.

If we could have a way where the SMS...

Re: Do you know of any upcoming commercial physical hardware limitations for the n900 devices that may limit it's life?

+1 for digital compass - new augmented reality apps are going to suffer, and in more immediate concerns I may use the gps to navigate, but will stop, then look at phone -- it may not be clear which...

Re: TwitterBox is now TweeGo!

Ok fair enough. Hope the other suggestions were useful. I do very much like the slick UI and will be interested to see the app develop.

Re: IS Nokia Aware of the PR 1.2 problems

I also flashed emmc+base, then restored 80+ apps. There's some minor bugs but overall it's fine. Browser is responsive etc.

I'd second the suggestion to try a full backup (and copy to another...

Re: [Announce] Erminig-NG: two-way synchronization Google Calendar <-> Fremantle Calendar

ANother possible one to add to list.

If there is no connectivity at time of the UI scheduled sync, erminig reports an error saying it couldn't connect -- one for each profile (I have 4).

Since...

Re: help!!! Moved from leaked PR1.2 to the original today, problem with conversations and calls history!!!

I have no experience of the modified FW, but perhaps you could do a "clean" flash of both firmware and eMMC as per http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware

Nokia Messaging troubles in PR 1.2

I had PR 1.1.1 (global) installed. Today I
- ran a backup
- reflashed firmware & emmc (no reboot)
- ran a restore

After the restore device was working nicely except
- My "mail for...

Re: Here Is Why The PR 1.2 Firmware For The Nokia N900 Is Late

I'm not particularly finding issues that require a PR 1.2 fix (just one related to certificates/wlan). However I'm very concerned at the who release/maintainance process.

What I'd expect from an...

Re: HK N900 running 10.2010.12-9. Is this the PR 1.2?

WHat's frustrating to me with this whole PR 1.2 discussion is not so much when it will be released, but rather the fact we have these large monolithic releases at all.

For all the openness around...

Very quick & basically captured everything. I also liked the way it just created a regular archive with regular files contained within, so if I wanted to just...

I actually found applying the firmware image under linux one of the simplest quickest firmware flash experiences on any device.

I'mrunning Fedora 12 x86_64 with the 2.6.32 kernel, so hardly a...

Re: Problems with N900 USB port becoming broken / loose and resulting warranty & repair issues

At this point there's no evidence that any repaired/replacement N900s are any better than the original.

So obviously if you have a failed device you want a replacement, but looks as if there's a...

Re: How many of you changed carriers just for the N900?

I guess we're fortunate in UK/Europe that mobile telephony has been pretty standardized for many years (since GSM). This has led to a very progressive market.

Unlike the US where the CDMA vs GSM,...

After worrying about the resistive nature...
