I got an N9 from a different Source, But same country variant and software version. Mine is stable, so I am not so sure it has anything to do with the software.
Maybe handtec got a bad batch?...

Don't know what goes wrong and I couldn't find the Calendar API documentation.
But you can play arround with the differnt to functiosn of QString.
