Pressing blue arrow and then "Sym" brings up a virtual keyboard for useful, non hardware, buttons (|, §,[,<, etc)

Not sure if that was there before, found it by accident :P

You could use gst tools and mess about with the options. Something like

gst-launch v4l2src device=/dev/video0 ! video/x-raw-yuv ! ffmpegcolorspace ! avimux ! filesink location=whatever.avi

You're using a LEAKED RC, so if you're having problems then it's your own fault, and going by some of the posts ("its a rar file, what do i do?!?!one!!") some of you really shouldn't have attempted...
