Re: Battery Life Short on a New Phone?
I'm not sure I agree on the 2g vs 3g power thingy, and I also don't think that the cellular modem was left out of the N770 (which I have) and successors until the N900 for that reason. I rather think...

Re: Battery Life Short on a New Phone?
From my discussions with people that should be somewhat in the know on Li-Ion batteries:
- do not discharge below 3.2V, do not ever overcharge above 4.2V (well, perhaps 4.25V)
- no memory effect...

Re: Cannot delete calendars
Strange, I have deleted a CalDAV (google) calendar in the past, I actually had created a new google calendar which didn't show up, so I figured I just delete the existing Caldav account.
After...

Re: [Announce] MeeCast for Harmattan
Well, could you make the code to do image selection / overlay, and let people worry about the artwork itself?
I mean, for each of the 'n' weather types, there could be
1.png
2.png
.
.
....

Re: [Announce] MeeCast for Harmattan
Very silly question: have you seen the idea (forgot where, maybe the Nokia idea contest, maybe somewhere here, maybe meego.com?) where the lockscreen photo/backdrop would be replaced according to the...

Re: Should i buy a N9 ?
Some people have the connection problem - I did, but haven't had it in two weeks or more. Don't know why. BTW I refer to the wifi, but the same fix works for 3G, so I think your N9 suffers the same...

Re: Nokia N9 connection issue
To be honest, I don't have an N9, my wife does. I do the support. Without me doing that, the device would likely have been sent back to the shop within a week. Or ejected out of a window (avoided...

Re: Nokia N9 connection issue
Yes I'm asking you...
Well, if you're unhappy with such an expensive device, it's perhaps not for you, but if you want to give it a try (instead of taking it back to the shop for a refund), you...

Re: N9 broken screen
Sure it can - plenty of video's on youtube on how to disassemble an N9, for sure Nokia Care can fix it for you - but it will cost you.
BTW man, sucks!
Probably takes a technician 10 to 15...

I don't get what your problem is, are you saying that your wife's phone
- cannot have any more apps installed
- cannot have any apps deinstalled
- runs out of memory, and then become...

Re: haven't received pr1.1 update... yet!!
Few remarks to answer that:
you can not flash different GB sizes, for obvious reasons
it seems you cannot downgrade
downgrade is not only going from PR1.1 to PR1.0 but also supposedly from a...

Re: haven't received pr1.1 update... yet!!
Very simple, if you have Swype input, you have PR1.1 (it wasn't there in PR1.0 yet).
So if OTA doesn't announce it, you have to use navifirm to get the firmware, and nokia flasher to flash it onto...

Re: N9 has gorilla glass?
Ever since bling became more important to sell phones than sturdiness, this has been the risk people must live with.
Old style phones have a ledge, and much lower risk of having this kind of damage....

For sure it can be done, since there are already several programs / hacks putting things there, lockscreenquotes, system...

Re: Nokia N9 -WITH- Android 4.0 (ICS) !
Big advantage that N9 hardware has compared to most Android phones: 1GB RAM.
If linux likes anything, it's having more RAM. And by likes, I mean, can use properly and have the user feel the...
