I'm always using Nokia N900 to share Internet through USB cable, and its USB port contact is not stable. I'm trying to share UMTS WAN through Wifi (Ad-hoc).

I don't know if Gmail is compatible with CardDAV protocol. If so, the procedure should be the same as I described.

Ok, the following command worked for me, and I've now completed a printer configuration and printed successfully a test page:
ln -s /usr/lib/cups/backend-available/* /usr/lib/cups/backend/

Password visible characters

When I write in a password field/textbox, each character is shown for a moment, before masking with a " * ".

How to disable this feature?
(to mask the typed characters all the time)

I've also tried with the web interface (asks for an unknown password when applying changes)

Having installed cups and cups-client packages, I get the error "can not connect to server" when adding the printer with lpadmin.

Can somebody make a single how-to?

Cherry invites the user to register on MyNokia on the first boot of the device

With this command we can see the maintainer:
apt-cache show cherry
And with this other we can see that it's GPL licensed:
dpkg --license cherry
