couple of days ago my n900 slide lock stopped working
phone was under warranty so gave it for repar
Nokia called back saying the phone has been stopped and they cant fix it instead they will give...

this comes on my phone when there is no sim card inserted...when ever there is a problem with the sim i get no signal but this sign only comes when no sim is inserted( in my case at least)

similar problem faced by me at some point of time or the other
do an fsck as jedi recommends... pretty straightforward
alternate
or if ur using windows when u connect try scan and fix errors...

[Maemo 5] [Request] Swype
there is a function on many android phones and some of the nokias(5233 if im not mistaken)
on the virtual keyboard you can drag the stylus on the keyboard and it will recognize what word you are...

looks like tables have turned again
read the 2 links u sent me extensively and deleted cpu mem aplet, switched off virtual keyboard, removed catorise and one other..
cpu standing by at 3 %max as...

well looks like i spoke too soon..
worked for 3 hours before hildon desktop started hogging memory all over again back to same problem so thinking of reflashing the global PR1.3 at night and lets...

interesting observation though not sure if that could be a problem
changed the sim card to a new one(brothers) as compared to mine...

unfortunately not terminal savy so dont know the exact command to kill the process or any particular thing that needs to be done
do u recommend a reflash or some thing
