I see that you are flashing with old firmware (2010.36-2).
If your N900 was with newer than that, then you can't go back.
Download the latest (2011.38.1)

about leafpad. I won't rollback to a previous kp to see if it's a new behaviour for v48 although I doubt it, must be a leafpad bug.

n900 will instantly reboot when you try save as and leafpad...

for the two first. seetings will still rotate. also you will have to set the value again if you change orientation lock...
