Thank you. I didn't know about the lack of async ebook support in the stock openobex libs. I tested the configuration you suggested (upgraded lib, original obexd) and was quite happy to see pc-suite...

Tested the PC-suite connection to the N900 using both stock and custom obex versions.

Procedure:
1 - pc-suite not started
2 - connect phone via USB
3 - press PC-suite button on N900
4 - start...

For me, that would be premature. I'm still looking into the issues and the sourcecode involved. And I'm familiar with Linux, but Maemo is new to me.

Reinstalling the original packages that are manually updated in drew's post 70 is worth a try.

But keep in mind that this can cause problems for the phone. Backup your data, backup your config...

Edit: solved the duplicate phonebook issue by returning an empty phonebook when SIM1/telecom/pb is queried. See attachments: obexd binary and the phonebook-ebook.c file containing all changes.

Debugged the ebook backend for the single-telephone-number issue. There seems to be a misunderstanding between the obexd ebook plugin and libebook in maemo on how multiple values for e.g. telephone...

You are right, it looks like the tracker backend is geared towards richer support than the ebook backend. In addition to a phonebook pull with multiple TEL entries, the tracker backend should support...

Used ebook backend. And as far as I can see this backend now only supports single TEL entries. Not sure though, as this whole PBAP stuff is new to me.

OK, just checked, and adding CRLF between vcards worked for my carkit: a Peugeot Connect Nav. All contacts available after an outbound call.
