Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread

Correct, like women, 3G speeds only work if the device has the frequencies for the carrier. In the USA for instance. T-Mobile and AT&T may be able to use the same unlocked phones by moving your sim...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread

Thanks. Haven't tried any of other browsers yet on the Tab. After my experiences on the N900 i've been cautious to do that. I had high hopes for Mozilla on Maemo, but it never was as smooth as the...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab Info Thread

I have recently switched from the N900 to the Galaxy Tab. Prior to the N900 I had the N810, the N800 and the 770 as my tablets. My N900 was on T-Mobile as is my Tab so I enjoy some brisk speeds here...

Re: N900 graveyard

One of my main selling points for this product (and all past Maemo products) I used to evangelize to people was this community. With these attitudes, I stopped doing that.

You will be part of what...

Re: N900 graveyard

From a marketing standpoint, I find his points notable and even sympathize with a few of them.

Personally, I still love my N900 and use it currently as my primary device.

Yes, every ounce of...

Re: 2 months later...still no NEWS on FREE OVI NAV?

One person's stupid is another's necessity. The trend currently is moving towards what you find stupid. Stupid or not, there is a demand that must be met.

Re: How many have sold their N900?

I will be keeping my N900.

I do not find it "fraking awesome!"

Currently, it's not all I expected and doesn't fit my needs entirely. It does meet several of my needs better than any other...

Re: call forwarding

I couldn't get call forwarding, or un-forwarding to work properly on the N900 either. Call forwarding is, at least in my case (US T-Mobile), something that happens more external/on the phone company...

Re: Am I the only disappointed one?

If you want this device/platform and it's still potential future to be a success you will have to embrace all these users who either know little about their computers or really don't want to do a...

Re: N900 shipping delayed

It WAS the price late last week. Now the web site has it at $549.99. If you have pre-ordered & want that price, you have to contact Amazon's customer service and ask for it as a change to your...

Re: Amazon has it now for $479

Amazon said to me:

"Note that, we don't charge you for an order until it enters the shipping process, so you won't be charged for this item until it's available and we've shipped it to you."

Re: OPK: N900 deliveries have now started!!

My Amazon order now reads:

"The following item will arrive after December 25, 2009."

They even had the nerve to bold and make red the word "after"

Ahhh!!!

Re: N900 Rebate $50 from Nokia

Thanks MountainX. I had not come here searching for rebates, so I would have never known if not for you. I appreciate the (re)posting. It's that kind of helpfulness that makes the Maemo community...
