Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
Maybe I have time to fix this during the next few days, but I'll be on holiday, so no guarantee.
If you want to completely get rid of the weirdness (which is good btw), you have to ditch the entire...

Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
Well, in fact most of the changes are only relevant to Meego/Harmattan. I don't think we should ask the upstream repo maintainers to keep the code, for the following reasons:
It's not hard to...

Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
@seanmcken: There is trojita-tp in my repo and some more under http://repos.fuhlbrueck.net/qt5-maemo5-examples/. Flatboat, sigil and otter-browser are actually somewhat useful.
Qt5 will not...

Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
Yes, it hildonizes the UI if called with -style maemo5 (or if this style is chosen by the developer), but this seems to be quite slow, because QML calls QtWidgets which in turns uses gtk to style...

Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
Ah, sorry I'll change this. I usually use /bin/bash because it is installed on most systems and I don't have to wonder whether I use bash specific stuff or not. But you're right for N900 and alike...

Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
Ubuntu (or rather Debian) packages of Qt5 are more fine-grained, i.e. mostly by modules not by git repositories. However there are meta-packages corresponding to repos: see e.g....

Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
Now qt5-webkit (and -dev) are updated, too. Furthermore I compiled (unmodified) two Qt5 apps and uploaded them to http://repos.fuhlbrueck.net/qt5-maemo5-examples/ .
The first is otter-browser...

Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
Good idea. I added a date file, too:
http://repos.fuhlbrueck.net/qt5-maemo5/last-update
Now you can easily see if the mirror is up to date.

Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
My Qt5 repo (see http://wiki.maemo.org/Qt5-Maemo5) now contains 5.2.1 versions (actually 5.3 development versions in some cases) of qtbase, qtdeclarative, quickcomponents, qtlocation (i.e. the...

Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
It was never intended to be the final solution. Once we have libx11 with working xcb, we just change back the few flags and debian package dependencies from xc11 to x11 and everything works. What I...

I've now already merged everything with surprisingly few and minor conflicts. There were changes bewtween 5.1 and 5.2 in the file with the crucial cache that caused the TextItem bug, but disabling...

Re: QT5 on nokia n900 ?
I'm not sure, if I really understand your question. If you mean rebuilding Gtk/Qt4 against the old version of libx11 but with xcb: no I didn't try it, because it seemed too radical and I didn't...
