Ah, I like this app, handy to see sunrise and sunset times, when seasons start etc.etc. :).
I thought maybe something got corrupted on a reboot or shutdown or something since it was working...

hmm, same version as I have (3.8.0-1) but I am on CSSU (21.2011.38-Tmaemo9.1+thumb1 (testing)). Could that have something to do with the problem?

hmm, nope doesn't work for me. The app seems to start but disappears when started from the menu icon and when started from terminal with the command you gave it gives the same error (wrong number (1)...

Updated to latest version. Something changed, the buttons work sometimes , it is not 100% reliable but now it is not needed anymore to switch screen off and on again between button presses.

Excellent idea :). dug out my old digicam and the led shows up on the screen :)
So there is good news: the led always flashes when a button is pressed (and maybe that is the bad news as well)

The experimental one only flips from sound on - mute - sound on.
the reverse does not flip:
mute - sound on (and stays on).
The normal keyset doe not flip back and forth at all.

Nope, still the same. I have switched back to default clockspeed profile but that didnt make any difference.
Switching between Creative Speakers Keyset 1 and Creative (experimental) works...

No I donīt have any other infrared devices unfortunately. Strange thing is that switching on and off works better when switching sets in the search panel compared to the standby button in the normal...

There is GPS Recorder which can also convert to .gpx format which is readable by Modrana but I havent tried that. It doesnt have maps so it should use a bit less system resources (not loading maps...

No, the database can be anywhere. I had some 22 GB in use for the maps for a few cities, freed up most of it when I reloaded them as sqlite. I downloaded them as seperate tiles for use with other nav...

You can run Modrana on the linux computer as well, and download the maps there and then transfer them to the N900.

The problem with saving to extrernal SD is with storing them as individual tiles,...
