Has anyone from the Neo900 team reached out to HMD Global? They seem to be swayed by the nostalgia and there might be a chance for a cooperation ... look how popular all the GPD palm computers are...

I still use mine as of today. If I had to buy to replace Rover, I would go for Gemini PDA LTE version and put Sailfish 3 on it. I still secretly wish the HMD Global re-releases the N900.

After the first batch of 17k+ is sold out we shall see the FP2 with official SfOS 2.0/2.1 incl Jolla Here Maps etc pre installed. Hopefully before the summer 2016 and highly probable with an upgraded...

Would be nice to be able to use CM12.1+Release, or just a standalone N5 full install of SfOS 2.0.0.10 and in the process getting rid of the "G00gl3" bootscreen finally.

Nexus 5 is definitely a better choice. I do not not need or miss Dalvik / Android apps at all.
Also Fairphone 2 looks promising, but is a bit pricey since it's European made.
And the India's Intex...
