The major problem is in U1 API. It provides only 'Files' at this moment. There is possibility to fetch/update contacts via CouchDB, but Ubuntu team announces that CouchDB will be replaced by other DB...

I am working on fix.. I've only tested it on N900 which has a HW keybord, so probably missed something.
