Inspired by this post, and being slightly bored on a warm, quiet Sunday I present to you...

The GEM Desktop in DOSBOX. I wrote about it on my website if anyone's interested in how I made it work

Exclamation Re: Want a linux box to talk with NIT but dont want to buy one: USE YOUR WIN PC

Re: Tablet Alternative Chargers

I've just (as in yesterday) bought a Freeloader solar charger (http://www.solartechnology.co.uk/products/solar_chargers/freeloader.asp). My N810 is now flat and the Freeloader has had its first...

Re: How I listen to mp3 with the N8x0

I just installed Canola and put the music on my N810's internal memory card.

Err... that's it. I'm sure I could manage a more elaborate way involving half a dozen linked applications... but I'd...

Re: 105kb

The old-style Apple Bluetooth Keyboard paired fine with my N800. It even repaired automatically if I switched it off then back on.

Re: Remind me when I'm at ...

After reading all the arm-waving about the N810's GPS I decided to take my brand new N810 for a walk, just to see what it was like.

It was raining, so I put the thing in a waterproof map case so I...

Re: A Sharp new weblet

It looks nice, but the default Windows desktop is the totally wrong interface for it. Look at that line of tiny tiny icons on the taskbar.

Hard drives, lots of RAM and a quick CPU are good things...

Talking The most inaccurate N810 description ever?

I wonder if the people at Tesco.com actually saw an N810 before writing this...

The list of features is even more random! And we won't mention the slightly steep price.

Re: Lousy experience on Nokia N800

This is true. I've used Linux for the past 10-odd years, so when it breaks I'm off into the terminal without a second thought, or I'll spend half an hour fiddling on the Internet looking for the...

Re: OS X in N810

No. There's more inside an iPhone and an N810 than their ARM CPUs.

Plus why would you want to reduce the capabilities of your tablet by infecting it with the iPhone crippleware? ;)

(I eagerly...

Re: Nokia Releses OS2008 Beta for the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet

This is a standard SSH message warning you that the computer you're connecting to is different to the last time you connected. Since you're connecting to your N800 that's to be expected since you...
