Are you really planning on opening up the phone to get the battery out every time you want to charge it directly?

I reckon you should try getting the USB port fixed again or try the wireless...

Hey just to let you know this feature still exists in 1.2 - found it again by accident. You need to double tap on the edge of the screen now for it to work.
