I love everything about the N900, except for the speed and battery. UNLESS I ONLY use it as a phone. If I use it as a phone, it's fast enough, but if I start integrating Skype, Google and Facebook...

Yes you are right. I should do the same with the email utility which keeps updating as it takes a lot of bandwith and battery power which is not needed. Same with the widgets that have live updates...
