Thank you dini, I'll have to read that thread too.

None of my batteries (old nor new) give signs of life, I am sure I pressed the power button for many seconds and, about the Flasher, it is stuck...

Did you try and replace the battery? I did, but with no results.

Or do you mean the battery circuitry?

I followed the guide you linked but when I plug the phone to my computer USB port (after the command `flasher -i') it does not give any sign of life.
