Re: Recommend a netbook
Since I broke the hinges in any laptop I had (and I don't really think it was my fault), the over complex hinges on both the dell and the lenovo scare me.

I think that the forum is not actually an issue (it's relatively easy to move).
The real problem is the rest of the infrastructure (build system and repositories, especially for the distribution...

Re: HP WebOS TouchPad for $99!
What can you do with one of these? I mean, do they need binary blobs like the nokias or are there free drivers for all of the hardware components?
In case they can be put to use, do you know...

Funny (not!) to see how the more things change, the more they stay the same :mad:
With these new fangled n900 do you still need a binary blob to charge the battery? ;)

Re: Why I am getting a Nokia N9 (are you?)
That's until you discover that there's some secret piece of hardware/software combination that will force it into premature obsolescence like it happened will all previous, supposedly open, devices....

Re: interested++
That's obsolete, subsumed by p54spi (in the "mainline" kernel for a while now). I don't know if it can be made to work with Diablo userland, but It seems to work fine in OpenWrt for example.[/QUOTE]...
