Re: Build our own device
Looks like the released Turing Phone was also an 801 series.

Re: Build our own device
Well, there's always crowdfunding... I actually think it wouldn't be such a bad idea. Just show that the company has a good history and is able to produce those devices with or without the...

Re: Nokia with Sailfish
Great text, and this is completely what I was aiming for!
All the phones nowadays are just boring bricks with the same features.
I could kill for a nice QWERTY phone like the E7 was back then,...

True, but ...

Re: Nokia with Sailfish
Well, yeah, but in this case symbian != symbian...
Just about each and every device ran a different fork of the platform code, a horrible mess of configuration management...

Re: Sailfish on Turing Phones?
Well, in fact I do, however I like to keep in touch with them IRL, and not via messaging apps... :D:D
I'm not in fb, twitter, whatsapp, skype, linkedin... Instead I often go and visit my friends and...

I think this (https://www.crowdsupply.com/eoma68/micro-desktop) may lead to future FOSS-friendly N900-style devices.
It's a crowdfunding campaign for the first products that follow the new EOMA-68...
