Re: Nokia needs to change something ... competition is too fast

Love my n900, just wanted to thank the community.

After I bought my n900 I was having some buyer's remorse. Hell I only paid like 50 bucks for it cuz my work gave me gift cards as a signing bonus for its workers not going on strike. Then I saw the...

Re: Constructive Criticism: what is is and what it ain't...

I think part of what saddens me is that this shows a false perception. People who turn up with a problem, whether major or minor, almost certainly find some sort of solution. I'd say we seem to have...

Re: Constructive Criticism: what is is and what it ain't...

Does it need to be said this...

I'm sure this is a worthy contribution to this thread. It's not in any way inflammatory.

Here's some food for thought: do you think everyone thinks like you? Because personally I almost never...

Missing emulators will be back at maemo.org

As some know, we removed some emulators from maemo.org due to a legal dispute between Nokia and Nintendo. The dispute was not related to the emulators itself, but since the maemo.org infrastructure...

Krisse, I think you're right in every respect but one. I have seen far, far worse flame wars errupt over the placing of a nacelle, which deck crew quarters are on and most especially which fictional...

Re: why does the fm transmiter suck soo bad

The FM transmitter is bad if you try to overshadow a station. But once you've found a free frequency, the quality is great. The shielding of the car, the placement of its antenna, and the antenna...

Re: Ouch... Android is making my n900 look bad.

Yep, three year old platforms on their third major revisions are usually a lot more polished.

The n900 shipped about 8 weeks ago. You might want to give it a little more time to catch up. Buy it...

Re: Ouch... Android is making my n900 look bad.

And yet you still bought the device KNOWING it didn't have voice entry and multi touch. So who is to blame here? Nokia? I think not.

Re: Feedback on tutorial video? (Especially the format)

That's excellen!. Good format, clear and easily followed. Not too fast, either. I was able to pause it and freeze a screen, if I was trying to follow on my own device. It worked.

To be really...

Re: "Surging iPod touch eclipses the iPhone" ... while Nokia stupidly abandons tablets!

Peet,

I think you are missing the point. The point isn't about having both on the market, but about if having a tablet at this point makes sense businesswise.

Re: "Surging iPod touch eclipses the iPhone" ... while Nokia stupidly abandons tablets!
