Re: What have former N900 owners moved to?

As a former N900 user and current N9 user, have to say you will never get the speed and precision a HWKB can provide you. Almost two years with my N9 and I still miss the keyboard. This and the...

Re: What have former N900 owners moved to?

Galaxy note lll is the way to go. Wait for it...unless a keyboard device appears along the way. If you don't like it, get Note ll and you still get a great Penn.

Re: What have former N900 owners moved to?

So I wasn't ever a diehard n900 user. I have an N800 that was my primary device for a number of years, and I had an n900 that I used for about 6 months regularly before moving to a Galaxy Note 2. ...

Re: [Announce] modRana: a flexible GPS navigation system

Thanks for all the feedback so far ! :)
@visible map scale
There should be a map visible in all modes (but it hides when buttons hide). But the length description on the scale is indeed very tiny...

Re: [Announce] modRana: a flexible GPS navigation system

I haven't been using modRana very long (I only have my n900 a few months) and have only used it a few times, once to go to a party in another city (Netherlands) where I didn't know my way round and a...

Re: Poll: Does Maemo.org need more Moderation?

And another thing. If you really want to encourage good threads and don't have a yearning for jackbooted moderators prowling the aisles (which we luckily don't have here), you should support the...

Re: Poll: Does Maemo.org need more Moderation?

When threads get Chuck Norrised they tend to get shuffled off to Off Topic anyway.

Re: Should MeeGo developers continue to publish info on this forum for maemo users (wrt Nokia device support)?

I join in most of woody14619's comments as well. Particularly, I am not totally convinced of the open governance of MeeGo, and this is why I choose to continue to promote Maemo.

Cordia, which...

Re: Should MeeGo developers continue to publish info on this forum for maemo users (wrt Nokia device support)?

No, the original question was not that. Should MeeGo developers continue to publish info on this forum for maemo users. This is not about patch xyz being applied to trunk. This is about info that...

Re: Should MeeGo developers continue to publish info on this forum for maemo users (wrt Nokia device support)?

Based on the recent comments by the OP, I have to vote "no". Prior to these comments, I would have either voted "yes" or been indifferent.

While MeeGo has some roots in Maemo, the only real...

Re: Should MeeGo developers continue to publish info on this forum for maemo users (wrt Nokia device support)?

To what end? It's like trying to get Amiga developers to "help out" this wonderful new project called Windows back in the 80s. Sure, it may never actually run stably on the Amiga hardware, but...

Re: Should MeeGo developers continue to publish info on this forum for maemo users (wrt Nokia device support)?

You raise fair points, MeeGo up until 2 1/2 months ago on the N900 was at the whim of contributors who were mostly scratching itches and getting odd bits & bogs working. When Nokia got involved and...

Re: Navit on N900

Hello,

I worked through the maemo package for the n900 from chollya.org and updated it to the new version 4503. This brings now for the first time elevation support for the n900. Beside that, the...
