I seem to have the same problem. It seemed like when the connection becomes idle for a while it has problem connecting again. Can't be sure that its a problem with n900 or the network.

Looks way better that the build in RSS Reader. One feature i would suggest is open up hyperlinks in RSS articles with microb, to get a full featured article

The front webcam could be used/tested with the application mirror which could be found in Maemo Extras. For now, AFAIK, is the only way to use it.
Probably it will be used for the video call in some...
