Re: [PLEASE ALL READ] Maemo eV general assembly
If I understood that right. My duties as an active member are in sum, to be member and to join and eventually announce the Mitgliederversammlung
If I got it right, I'm willing to help out. With...

This is probably one of the very few forums in the internet that relays useful and interesting information when a thread skids off the topic.

Re: Transponder, a native messaging client
I found some time to work on Transponder. I reached the limitations of developing something alone:
- Matrix client SDK's are absolute far from mature, the API changes still a lot.
- Telegram is...

Re: GPD Pocket
The higher res screen (1920x1200), 2048 pressure point stylus (probably why they removed the trackpoint), µUSB slot and lower price would also be nice additions over the GPD Pocket, although I have...

Re: GPD Pocket
I just stumbled upon this apparent GPD Pocket ripoff [1] via the Pyra forums [2].
It seems to be basically the same device while sacrificing some computing power, battery space and probably a useful...

Re: Maemo-Leste pre-alpha announcement
My interest in the Nexus 5 piqued when I found out that someone got calls working on it with mainline Linux shortly after Droid 4 calls started working (probably no coincidence that both devices use...

Re: Purism Librem Phone
For now, you will just have to content with it being behind the Iron Curtain. A de facto Russian colony but not part of the USSR.
A small tidbit:
Russian was a compulsory second language. The...

Re: "Nokia N9 Rising From the Grave?"
In theory, yes; In practice, not likely.
HMD definitely does not want Harmattan, as by itself it is only part of the game; they would have to resurrect all the backend stuff for SW update and...

Re: "Nokia N9 Rising From the Grave?"
I beg to disagree;
Harmattan belongs to MS; meego is open source (and yes, RPM based!)
That'd be quite a blow below the belt, for HMD to come up with a re-wamped MeeGo version on a re-furbished...

This is a mis-understanding, I'm not doing any marketing in here. The fact is even if each active community member bought 2 or even 3 of this device, it's still way too small to make it break even.
