You bring up a really good point. It seems to me that the OS of a solid busness phone, not a tablet but a phone, should be uninteresting. It should work, work well and not cross the end user's mind....

yes. the model of n900's touch screen is locked. meaning there is only one model of touch screen in every n900 ever existed. so you most probably can not switch it to a version that supports...

Most linux live CDs assume an Intel CPU instruction set. So without something like QEMU, it would be impossible. And with QEMU, probably unbearably slow.
